Alright, rock and roll! The Sixers have snapped the inevitable losing streak that seemed would never end. Next on the list? Keep winning! Allen Iverson was solid yet again with his 20 points, four assists and only one turnover. That’s right only one turnover! The 117-101 win snapped the 12 game losing skid in which the beloved Sixers have experienced some bad bounces and a new teammate. Can you blame these guys?
I can’t and won’t. The Sixers have a nice solid core of talent and it’s about time they were able to expose another team even though, mediocre. The Sixers were able to attack, bang and spit shine the glass in this one for a total of 59 rebounds. Wow, eye bulging! The Sixers also were able to own the paint and go on a massive run to start the game. Thanks goes to Samuel Dalembert, Thaddeus Young, Elton Brand who are the core players inside the painted area. I would also like to thank anyone else who had the chance to drive and score inside that area because that’s how you win ball games. Like Ms. Cleo would tell you, ‘tha cards dun’t lie!”
Jrue Holiday, the rookie from UCLA who I’m sorry Sixers fans I am not sold on yet, made his sixth start of the season and turned in 15 points. This was a good thing because Iverson even though dropping 20 has had a stress reaction in his right fibula and had fluid drained from his knee. Also, Andre Iguodala went to the locker room early after taking a pepper of a shot to his rib cage. Iggy is now listed as day-to-day. Holiday however, did his job and filled in quite nicely. For much of this young season, watching this rookie develop has been painful at times. Dumb mistakes, inability to adapt to NBA style and other things like looking confused all irk me. But, job well done against the Warriors last night, but I couldn’t not talk about the negatives, right?
Up next for this crew of brotherly ballers is the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes, that’s right the LeBron show on wheels rolls into town with a multitude of dance moves and shimmy shakes. I’d be careful because too much shimmying can lead to dizziness, LeBron. And believe me once you’re dizzy, your stomach or in this case you team may begin to feel “UPSET!”
Peace From The 570, BRO!
