After surviving the first round of cuts, Andre Iguodala needed to make it through the final cuts in order to earn a spot on Team USA’s FIBA World Championship roster. Today, the final roster of 13 players was announced, and Iguodala was one of those 13 finalists.
With Iguodala now set to participate in the FIBA World Championships, he will be learning a lot from fellow NBA veterans, such as Lamar Odom, Chauncey Billups, and Kevin Durant. The final roster is mainly composed of rising talent, mixed in with a few veteren leaders.
Aside from Iguodala, the other 12 finalists are: Chauncey Billups (Denver Nuggets); Tyson Chandler (Dallas Mavericks); Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors); Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder); Rudy Gay (Memphis Grizzlies); Eric Gordon (Los Angeles Clippers); Danny Granger (Indiana Pacers); Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves); Lamar Odom (Los Angeles Lakers); Rajon Rondo (Boston Celtics); Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls); and Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder).
