Sixers Sale Even More Imminent

Ken Berger released a series of tweets today about the Sixers sale:

Comcast is poised to announce agreement to sell #Sixers to investor group led by Joshua Harris, @CBSSports has learned. #NBA#lockout

Harris is managing partner of Apollo Global Management LLC. Sale does not include arena or #NHL‘s Flyers, according to sources.

Also in the proposed #Sixers ownership group is a name familiar to diehard #NBA fans: former agent and #Kings executive Jason Levien.

The sale agreement is subject to approval by the #NBA‘s Board of Governors.

No word on #Sixers price. On its web site, Apollo Global describes itself as “contrarian” investor specializing in “distressed” assets. #NBA

Proposed #Sixers buyer Harris’ company, Apollo, has offices in NYC, L.A., Westchester, N.Y., Europe and Asia.

In other words, nothing new, except the deal should be announced and sent to the league office soon, and hashtags. Other “league sources” have tabbed the sales price at approximately $280 million.
