Stefanski On Way Out?

This is a day late (from the Inquirer):

Ed Stefanski, the 76ers’ general manager, is a front-runner for the Toronto Raptors’ vacant general manager’s position, Yahoo Sports reported late Thursday night.

Stefanski, who is still under contract with the Sixers, has been given clearance to interview for other NBA front-office positions. This is perhaps the first sign that the team’s new ownership group intends to make at least one or two changes within the front office.

Change looks to be coming sooner than expected, huh?

Stefanski does not have a good record with this team, with his one major acquisition turning into a cap-filling disaster. No offense to Elton Brand, but that just didn’t work out as planned.

I’ll look into this more intensely this weekend, so stay tuned. Yesterday’s expected post should also be coming up in time.
