NBA Lockout Vigil: Day 19

The schedule came out today. Do you feel the optimism in the air? Thought so.

Photo of the Day

The Sixers play the Raptors in their opening game, if it happens. Andrea Bargnani, while not the best player in the world (or even on that team), may be the face of that franchise.

Contract of the Day

Bargnani will make $9 million even next year, with increases of $1 million with each year of his 5-year deal. He will be entering the second year of his contract. Overpaid, no?

Links of the Day

Can I link to myself? Sure, why not? Ed Stefanski’s history does not look too good in hindsight.

Raptors fans seem to dislike Bargnani with a passion, especially for his defense. Is that warranted. Sebastian Pruiti says no, not completely.

I enjoyed this Andrew Lynch piece very much, his second of the day fro Hardwood Paroxysm. Make sure to check out his first as well.

Something to Watch

Franklin and Bash! Okay, I know it’s an awful show. But Wednesdays just aren’t good TV nights. And my guide, for whatever reason, doesn’t extend past 2:00 AM right now. So that’s all I got.
