Sixers On This Day Of The Week: Thursday

Ah Thursday. Guess what? Thursday is the special day. Yes Thursday had only 7, 76ers games in the past 3 seasons. When I did my initial research in my laboratory (my room), I was fascinated by how that could be. I’m going to look more into this to see if this is just the way it is. And maybe the NBA has less games on Thursday too.

One season had only one game on Thursday. The most had 4. The amount of games is so small that I’ll just go over how they went against each team. They loss to the Magic 88-98, 99-94 win against Pacers, 105-95 win against Bucks, 99-113 loss to Bulls, 88-104 loss to Clippers, 102-103 loss to Celtics, and a 97-100 loss to Bobcats. That adds up to 2-5 for the record. As you can see, the most they won in a row is 2 and the most they’ve lost is 4. As bad as the Sixers have been in the past 3 seasons, you know there wasn’t a game on Thanksgiving day.

Sixers didn’t face anybody the most. PPG is 96.9 versus 101 PPG. That’s a 4.1 point loss. Again, I just never really noticed that there were no games on Thursday compared to the other days. It’s only 3% of the games played.

Friday is our last day in this series. There has been a slight emergency and I may or may not be able to put up Friday’s post. I didn’t even think I could do Thursday. But I’ll find a way. I always do. The lockout is getting to me. I could have sworn Evan Turner was sitting next to me in my History class. I thought I saw Stephen Curry in the class before the History class! Losing it! Time to start looking at some old videos and get on this NBA 2k12.
