NBA 2K12 Season: 76ers vs Bucks

Another OT game.

This was close throughout as the Sixers fought for their first home win of the season. The Bucks did get to a 10 point lead but it was early in the game; a 12-2 lead. Once the Sixers came back, a couple of minutes later, the lead for either team never went higher than 6. Last game, the Sixers had to tie it to get to OT. This time, they had the last shot to win it all.

Look, in real life, Marreese Speights is not worth much. But, in 2K12, he’s been the MAN! He pretty much put the team on his back late in the game as well as in OT.

Behind Speights and Andre Iguodala, the Sixers did get their first win at home 97-95. They are 3-2. Bucks fall to 4-2. Andre had 25 points and Mo Speights had 21. It came to the Bucks trying to tie or take the lead. Stephen Jackson missed a good look from the arc and that was the game. The game dragged the entire Sixers bench on the floor. Antonio Daniels ended up playing for a few minutes. But all he did was foul. After a couple of solid games from Jodie Meeks, his last two games (Rockets and Bucks) he’s only played 3 minutes. I would like to see him play more but doesn’t fit the rotation in terms of game ratings. He did manage to score a bucket for 2 points though.

My favorite stat line though: Jrue Holiday had 9 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds. This guy has got to get a triple double soon. He’s been close a couple times. I remember his first career trip-doub last season. He shot 3-12 though tonight. Not good. He’s averaging 14.4 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 9.4 APG. Pretty impressive. Evan Turner has been quiet all season, but he’s been putting up solid numbers. That goes for Elton Brand too. Spencer Hawes…shake my head. I almost hate that Dalembert trade.

Might be early to start talking about this but the Sixers are 6th in the East standings.

The Sixers now start a 3 game road trip Sunday vs the Clippers.
