Ah, I’m glad everything’s up and running. We’ve had a busy couple of days, but the site problems should be well in the past.
Anyway, there’s the headline. Thaddeus Young has re-signed for five years, $42-$43 million, or an average of about $8.5 million per year. Given what Young provides now, that’s a slight overpay. Currently. his lack of a set position prevents him from playing more than 28-32 minutes per night. If he can develop his perimeter skills more (a rather big if, but a possibility), then he should be worth much more than this. In the position the Sixers are in, this isn’t a bad deal on the surface. More armchair analysis later.
