Link: How Thad Young Stopped The Bulls’ Offense

I noted this in the recap, but this post from Jordan Kahn at Hickory High does something I could not: describe with video how the Sixers’ defense tore apart the Bulls in the second half. The first play is one I specifically mentioned – how John Lucas III called for a pick-and-roll for the big being defended by Lavoy Allen, only for Allen and Thaddeus Young to switch assignments. The lesson? The Bulls can’t run the high pick-and-roll anymore when Thaddeus Young is there to disrupt it – he’s too quick for Lucas and C.J. Watson to overcome.

(The Bulls had another point guard who could make us pay but, as we know, he’s not coming back this year).

You can find that post here. I anticipate the Bulls will try something to counter, but their primary offense w/o Rose is facing some serious problems.
