On Friday, the Sixers worked out Marquis Teague and worked out 6 players on Saturday. The players they worked out of Saturday were Forward John Henson, Center Tyler Zeller, both from North Carolina, Baylor Forward Perry Jones, Mississippi State Forward Arnett Moultrie, St. Bonaventure Forward Andrew Nicholson and Kentucky Forward Terrance Jones.
Prior reports may have shown only 5 players on Saturday but T. Jones was a late addition to the list.
Like I said, Sixers should go for the big man. I have to question why they would look at a PG. They need a PG, but one that can mentor and back-up Jrue Holiday. You’re just not drafting that. Stick with the biggest needs of the roster: Big men. If the Sixers were going to draft one of the players they worked out this weekend, I would be okay with P. Jones, T. Jones, or even Moultrie. But none of the players worked out seem to have enough plugs for the Sixers’ interior holes. It would take time. The most common thing between them all is the need for more strength and/or ability to get buckets down low.
The NBA draft is this Thursday, June 28th, 7pm est. on ESPN. Who do you think the Sixers should pick? Who do you think they will pick?
