Getting Ready For The NBA Draft

Tomorrow, the NBA draft is on. Sixers have 3 picks going in: 15, 45, and 54. Right now, as I write this, the FanSided NBA network is working on a mock draft. It should be up probably early tomorrow. I’ll explain it in greater detail in that post.

I am actually not expecting a draft night trade from the Sixers with Iguodala involved. I think the Sixers are going to take their picks and make their strike in the off-season. Would anybody be traded by the Sixers on draft night? I’m leaning towards no. History shows that they have not made any significant moves during draft night. They end up trading the player they drafted for another drafted.

I never really get excited about the 2nd round. But, you never count them out. I think the Sixers will draft a big with the 15th and then might go small with the two picks in the second round. In the mock draft, you’ll see what I want at 15 is probably not what others would want or really think. I’ll give you a clue though: I drafted based on Rod Thorn’s quote basically saying to draft for talent and trade for need.

Tune to The Sixer Sense for immediate reactions to proposed trades for all 30 teams, and Sixers’ moves during the night. 7:30pm et on ESPN.
