Sixers and Spencer Hawes Agree to Two Year Deal

The Sixers have decided that keeping Center Spencer Hawes was a priority.  Spencer stands to make $13 million over two years. More details will come when the team makes the official announcement on the 11th. But, usually the money and length is all that is needed to know about a deal.

As some of you know, I’m not too big on Spencer. In fact, I don’t like his “game”. I also called that he would probably stay, so I’m not surprised. Still upsetting though. But that’s just me. If you like Hawes and/or the deal, good for you. Maybe it’s part of a sign and trade deal? I’m just trying to give myself hope. I’m failing at being positive here.

It’s an interesting group of big men the Sixers have now. Moultrie, Hawes, Allen, and at this point Brand. Thad Young plays the PF spot too, though he isn’t what I would call a big man.

So tell me, what do you think of the deal?
