Orlando Pro Summer League Schedule for Sixers

Jason put up a preview for the league here. I mentioned that rookie Arnett Moultrie wouldn’t be playing because of a sprained ankle here. Now, I wanted to wait until things got closer to mention this. Plus, other sites have covered this anyway so look at this as a reminder. Here’s the schedule (all times are Eastern):

Monday, July 9: vs. Indiana at 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday, July 10: vs. Utah at 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, July 11: vs. Brooklyn at 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, July 12: vs. Orlando at 5:00 p.m.
Friday, July 13: vs. Detroit at 12:00 p.m.

Remember, these are mostly NBA hopefuls on these rosters. So, Sixers could technically beat the Thunder but could lose to the Pistons. Something like that. I’ll be covering each game as they will be on NBA TV. I don’t know enough about the players to predict records for teams. Instead, look at these games not for the score, but for the players. Sixers may sign a player on their summer pro roster to their regular roster. It’s possible. Plus, Nick Vucevic and Maurice Harkless are playing too. So it’s a chance to see at least Harkless in action as a Sixer.

Tomorrow or early Monday I may put up a post to look at past summer league performances by the current Sixers players. If you can watch the games, go ahead and watch them. It is Sixers’ basketball and that’s enough for me. I’m hoping it’ll carry me to October (but that’s unlikely).

One thing I want to mention is we have two new writers. No, not Jason and Scott. I mean, we have two new, new writers. Jake Marciano already has a post up. Check it here. Jeremy Dilks is the other writer but hasn’t had a post up yet. So the site has 8 writers. I’ll get into more detail as the season gets closer to start but look for big things from your staff.
