The “Night Shift”, was affectionately named for the bench of the Sixers last season. This squad will have a few new faces come this season. With the departure of Lou Williams and Jodie Meeks, the Sixers needed to address some bench scoring in the off season. Thaddeus Young will be the 6th man and the go to guy for a scoring punch off the bench. Young averaged 13 points and 5 rebounds a game last season and caused match-up problems off the bench. He will also help the development of Lavoy Allen and the transition for Dorell Wright and Nick Young. On most teams Thad would be a starter, but he has found a perfect role with the Sixers. Now that Lou Williams has departed, expect Young to be in contention for the Sixth Man Award this season.
