The Sixer Sense Season Preview: Player Profiles: Evan Turner

So far this pre season Evan Turner has struggled with his shot. He’s averaged 9 PPG after two games against Orlando and Brooklyn, but so far his mid range shot has not improved. With the departure of Andre Iguodala, it is time for Turner to step up and be the player many believe he can be. Turner improved last year as did  most of his offensive stats compared to his rookie year, but there is still a lot of work to be done. He still needs to improve his mid range shot, and become more consistent. One thing I would like to see him continue to do is to push the ball up the floor after grabbing rebounds, which gives the Sixers easy fast break points. Last year, Even used his size and strength to bully other guards down low. This is something Evan should continue to do to score easy baskets for his team. I don’t expect him to become a star this year, but I expect him to take a step in the right direction.
