The Sixer Sense Season Preview: Player Profiles: Thaddeus Young

The heart and success of the Sixers bench starts with Thaddeus Young. Young is headed into his 7th season as the unquestioned sixth man of the Sixers. He averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes a game last season. The strength of Thad’s game is his ability to get to the basket and knock down the open jumper. His defense is above average, he is able to guard well and is a fantastic rebounder. Young will have a new cast around him this season with Nick Young and Dorrell Wright. While the starters are solid, Young will be a very important reason why they will have a solid season. Thad has the ability to be starter on many teams, but he is happy with his role and the Sixers could not be happier with the contributions he brings to the team.

Young is the sixth man on a team that should do some damage this year.
