The Sixer Sense Season Preview: Player Profiles: Lavoy Allen

After an impressive post-season where he went toe to toe with Kevin Garnett, Lavoy Allen proved he belongs in the NBA. Allen is headed into his second season as an important part of the Sixers bench. He averaged 4 points and 4 rebounds in 15 minutes a game last season. Allen averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes a game in the post season turning alot of heads. His defense and rebounding ability are his bread and butter, but his mid range offensive game can sneak up on defenders. Here is what coach Collins thinks of Allen,” Lavoy can be an all-defensive player and he can shoot that mid-range shot, which really helps us.” If Andrew Bynum has to miss time with knee problems, Allen will be in the mix to contribute at power forward or center.
