Ever since the Sixers acquired Andrew Bynum, it would seem their strategy is to surround him with excellent shooters that can take advantage of the double teams he will demand. One of those excellent shooters is F Dorell Wright who averaged 10.3 PPG last season with Golden State. However, the Sixers are hoping he can repeat his success from the 2010 season when he averaged 16.4 PPG and shot 37% from three point range, right around the league average.
One thing that has surprised most Sixers fans so far through the preseason is Wright’s ability to score off the dribble. A deadly three point shot and the ability to create off the dribble is a deadly combo that Wright can use to score and create shots for his teammates. Wright will be eager to prove that he can thrive with his new team, and fans will be eager to watch.
