Philadelphia 76ers Vs Oklahoma City Thunder: Recap

The Sixers lost a heartbreaker to Oklahoma City 116-109 in overtime.

The Sixers fall to 7-6 on the season, but can feel very proud of their performance against the reigning Western Conference Champions. They trailed 50-49 at half and played a fantastic second half to force overtime. Thaddeus Young was the unexpected star with 29 points and 15 rebounds. Evan Turner had another nice game with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and did a decent job of guarding Durant. They outrebounded the Thunder 43-42, which was part of the reason they kept this game so close. Turnovers hurt them again with 15 and 3 or 4 of them in overtime. The Suns will come to the Wells Fargo Center tomorrow for a back to back.

In shocking events Kevin Durant took over the game in the fourth to keep the Thunder in the game. Durant’s 37 point, 8 rebound, 5 assist effort stole the show late in the game. Key three pointers by Thabo Sefolosha, Kevin Martin and Russell Westbrook were the back breaker to a tremendous Sixer effort. The Thunder are 10-4 and 4-2 on the road.

Kevin Durant stole the show with 37 points, most of them in the second half for the Thunder.
