The Sixers battled back, but in the end couldn’t catch the improved Warriors. The Sixers fell to the Warriors 96-89 Friday night. David Lee was a menace inside with 25 points and 12 rebounds. The bench combination of Carl Landry and Jarrett Jack were quite the spark for Golden State and a handful for the Sixers. Landry had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Jack had 16 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds and both were a nightmare for the Sixers. Jrue Holiday led the Sixers with 21 points and 10 assists and did a solid job guarding Steph Curry. Thaddeus Young had a solid game with 19 points and 1o rebounds, but had trouble containing Lee late in the game. The Warriors outrebounded the Sixers 52-43 thanks mostly to Lee and Landry. The Sixers had 12 steals off of the Warriors 18 turnovers, but could not get stops late in the game. The Sixers struggled from three going 5-20 and only shot 40 percent from the field. The Sixers move to 14-16 and will travel to Portland Saturday night.
