Philadelphia 76ers VS Oklahoma City Thunder: Preview

Game info: 8pm ET in OKC. Airing on CSN.

The (15-18) Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a disappointing loss to the Phoenix Suns after an impressive victory over the Lakers just the night before. They will go into OKC to face the (24-7) Thunder.

As we all know, the Thunder traded away James Harden before the start of the season, but that hasn’t stopped them from winning games. Obviously Kevin Martin is not as good of a player as Harden, but he spot up and hit open shots and fits well coming off the bench.

Kevin Durant, to nobody’s surprise is playing at an MVP level, although he is not scoring as much as he has in previous seasons. However, he has improved in almost every other statistical category.

Jrue Holiday is an excellent on ball defender, but even then it will be tough to stop the speedy Russell Westbrook.

Serge Ibaka is one of the best interior defenders in the NBA and averages 3 BPG.

If the Sixers want to have any chance, they need to find a way to get to the line. The Thunder play with an aggressive style allowing them to score easily in the paint and get to the line. Not to mention they have superstar talent which will get them calls in favor of the Sixers.

The Sixers will face a tough matchup tonight especially considering the game is being played in Chesapeake Energy Arena which is considered one of the loudest arenas in the NBA.
