Site Updates: New Writers, FanSided Daily, and More!

The Sixer Sense as well as the Fansided network is growing and improving. For us, we grabbed new writers. You’ve met Curtis Jenkins already but we’ll get to know him a little more. But, it’s new writers. Plaural. As in, there’s more than one. In fact, shortly after Curtis came on, we got not one, not two, but THREE NEW WRITERS. When I first joined the site, I became the 3rd writer on staff. Now they’re comin 3 at a time! Go figure. I’m excited. You should be too.

I don’t mean to brag, but with these new writers, The Sixer Sense has the largest staff in the NBA division on FanSided. Let me introduce you to the new guys AND gal!

Curtis Jenkins

You’ve already read a couple of posts from him but here’s some detail on him:

“Attended Manor College graduating with a degree in Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting. I currently attend Temple University major in Journalism. I have a huge love for all that is Philadelphia sports and have written several personal blogs on the Phillies, and Eagles. I have a deep passion for sports writing. I also have a weekly radio show on WPEB 88.1FM Philadelphia where you can listen in on all that is Philadelphia news and Philadelphia sports. I’m the new guy on the site but I share the same passion as my colleagues. Oh and October 29,2008 will forever be in my heart. As an avid, deep, fan you should know why! Follow him on Twitter: @PhillysPhinest7

Emily Gruver

Emily’s here to straighten up the boys round here. She’ll make us gentlemen of the bloggerverse in no time! Let’s learn more about her:

“Emily Gruver is a young sports writer and is co-host of JG Sports Talk. She is working hard to achieve her dreams of becoming a sports writer/anaylist/broadcaster. She is a huge Philadelphia sports fan! Follow me on Twitter @Emily_Gruver!”

John Adair

You know how on Sixers Pregame Live the have Jim Lynam nicknamed as “Coach” since he was indeed an NBA coach? Well…

“Life-long fan of the Sixers. Playing and coaching experience with a genuine love for the game. Two passions, basketball and writing. Twitter: @JohnAdairNBA”

Dan Freidberg

Between Dan and Danny Solis, we’re bound to have a “Dan good time”! Get it? See how excited I am? Now the new staffers presented their own “Bios” for the spotlight page and I’m using them here. Dan hasn’t given his in yet but check back later; I’m sure he’ll have something up.

Also, and there’s a post on the site dedicated to it, subscribe to FanSided Daily for all of your updates on not only the Sixers, but for any team you want. All in one message. Everyday. I mean, come on that’s pretty awesome. I’m subscribed to the Sixers so I kinda get my own posts in the mail…yeah…

Don’t forget about 76ers Digest hosted by Matt Beusing and Greg Duca on FanSided Radio. They, along with another person, host Fire and Ice Sports as well. They are our FanSided friends and partners so supporting them is supporting us.

The staff is working on answering some questions for a round table on Monday. We’ll talk playoffs, Andrew Bynum, and other stuff too. You don’t want to miss hearing all of these voices here. Many opinions to check out.
