Game time 7pm
The Sixers are on a three game winning streak, the first since mid November and have quite a task ahead of them in middle of this 8 game home stand with Indiana coming into town. With the loss of Thaddeus Young for three weeks due to a hamstring strain, the Sixers bigs on the bench will have to step up and make the most of their minutes. Indiana is 30-19 this season and are no longer a team to be taken lightly. All-star George Hill is absolutely balin’ this season leading team in scoring. He is very similar to Thad Young of the Sixers. He has has size, slashing ability, and plays great defense. He can easily drop 30 if he gets hot and going early. He is the primary reason that the Pacers are in the midst of their own home winning streak of 15 games. Rookie Arnett Moultrie and second year player Lavoy Allen will have to be on their A game if they want to stop Paul George from getting to the basket with ease. If the Sixers want to continue this winning streak and have a 5-1 record on the home stand they must score often and early against this Pacers club. The Pacers have given up 100 + points in their last 7 out of 9 games. Another key to the game would be once again, manage George Hill. He after all did record his first career triple double against the Sixers earlier this season. On the other hand, he did not have to contend with Jrue Holiday who was injured during that previous game. Jrue Holiday will truly have to step up even more now that Thad Young is down. The time is now to show the league what this team is really about. We have some mediocre wins on this home stand, now let’s get a win that is going to make a statement.
