NBA News from FanSided

We have a nice round of NBA news to check out. But first, a little bit of FanSided news. The FanSided iOS app is available for download. So, go to the app store and grab it to stay up to date with all things FanSided while away from the computer! I have a Windows Phone (which I love) so I can’t go and download it myself. So tell me how much you love the app, okay? Cool.

Greg Oden says he won’t make a decision on who he’ll sign with until the summer. Should we expect an hour long TV special? Our friends at Hardcourt Houdini do see Oden coming to the Celtics though. There are other teams involved like the Heat and Cavaliers. Where do you think Oden will end up? Quite frankly, with the Bynum situation, I’m kinda not in the mood for waiting for big men.

Stephen Curry lit up the Garden vs the Knicks as he scored 54 points. Buckets Over Broadway takes a look at where Curry’s performance ranks with the other great MSG performances.

The Kings ownership situation keeps going. Now we see that the Maloofs have a backup plan should some of their main options fall off. Meanwhile, Sacramento is gearing up for another attempt to keep the Kings in their town. I don’t have a side (Seattle vs Sacramento). But, when this is all over, somebody’s feelings are going to be hurt. What do you think will happen to the Kings?

There was a scuffle in the Warriors-Pacers game. Would you like to see it? Well you can’t. The NBA has taken down traces of the fight off the internet. I mean, this is based off of my searches. Maybe you can find it somewhere. But, the story containing what used to be a working video can be found here. I find it interesting that the NBA takes these videos down for copyright claims but other videos by the same folks, like highlights and such can remain. As long as it’s not detrimental to the league, it’s fine to upload NBA footage. Not to say that’s a bad thing but that happens with all of us; we don’t want our “low” moments published.

The Knicks are down another man as they found out Rasheed Wallace will be out for probably the rest of the season. I say that because he’s out for 8 weeks and by the time that slot is over, we’ll be in May. Granted, the Knicks will probably still be playing in the playoffs but when Wallace gets healthy, will he be able to be a factor?

So that’s all for this week.
