The Sixers played with great attitude on Friday night against Miami, but in the end they lost yet another road game. The Sixers are now as it stands 8.5 games behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the eighth and final playoff spot. They also have a road record of 6-22 and at this point in all honesty should start doing heavy scouting in the lottery for the upcoming draft in June. The longest road losing streak in the last 25 seasons will either continue or be snapped tonight. At this point, it doesn’t truly will not make a difference on the already inevitable outcome of this once promising season. The focal point of this game will be Jameer Nelson and former Sixer Nick Vuevic. Vucevic is a rebounding machine and we all know that Nelson can easily get hot and remain that way. But in actuality the Orlando Magic are only 1-5 since defeating the Sixers back in late Feb. Who could forget Doug Collins blasting his players for not giving it their all. He even blamed some of them for not even sweating or giving strong effort. That are signs that a team has no identity and its just five guys on the floor jumping around. Doug Collins did say something of importance though in that post game interview ,” If Jrue and Thad play well, than we as a team play well ” This is true so I leave with that. Not that it matters at this point but if Jrue Holiday and Thad Young continue to play with pride than this team can finish the season on a winning note. I know the Sixers have the ability to beat Orlando but with the current mindset of the team I don’t see it happening.
