With the second of three consecutive picks, one of them being Lucas Nogueira, technically selected by the Boston Celtics, the Hawks selected Dennis Schroeder.

With size and length, Schroeder has the ability to be a shut-down defender at the point guard position. His wingspan allows him to stay in front of quicker guards and his size allows him to not be bullied by bigger guards such as Deron Williams.

Offensively, Schroeder showed that he can shoot the ball and is efficient in the pick-and-roll. Ultimately, he could develop into a lock-down defender and floor general.
