With the 22nd pick, the hometown Nets selected Duke’s Mason Plumlee.

Plumlee averaged a double-double last season for the Blue Devils, and has proven to be a freakish athlete. On the boards, his size at 7’0″ coupled with that athleticism allows him to be dominant.

He showed improvement in his post game on the block, and worked to establish deep position.

Jason Kidd will look to mentor and develop his first draft pick as a head coach. Brooklyn fans welcomed Plumlee warmly with claps and cheers across the Barclay’s Center.
