Charlotte decided to pass on Nerlens Noel after the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards do the same. Instead, they selected Cody Zeller.

Zeller is an efficient big man with polished skills in the post. Just a few months ago, he was the consensus No.1 pick. Last week, he was rumored to be going in the late lottery.

After an incredible freshman season, his sophomore season was somewhat disappointing in comparison. Zeller averaged 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

More than likely, his game was knit-picked by the media.

His short wingspan may hurt him as a rebounder in the NBA, but his work ethic and high basketball IQ should make it a seamless transition.

Zeller was the second player from Indiana off the board in the top four picks. First, of course, was Victor Oladipo.
