A few weeks removed from a run to the Eastern Conference Finals before an abrupt ending to their season in Game 7 at the hands of the Miami Heat.
With the 23rd pick, the Pacers selected Solomon Hill.
Somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades at Arizona, Hill was a force in all aspects of the game. He rebounds, defends, passes, scores when he has to, but ultimately makes the right play on nearly every possession.
Indiana is a blue-collar team. Hill is a blue-collar player. Coincidence?
