NBA Draft 2013: Oklahoma City Selects Archie Goodwin With No.29 Pick

First it was Oklahoma City, then it was Golden State, and now its Phoenix.

The Thunder made the selection, but Archie Goodwin will be heading to Phoenix to begin his NBA career.

Goodwin is a combo guard that has the potential to be an above-average perimeter defender, but he needs to increase the focus and tenacity.

Offensively, he is somewhat raw. However, he does have the talent to be productive, and it is just a matter of time before he is doing so if he puts the work in.

Goodwin fell in the draft after a disappointing freshman season at Kentucky.

Regardless, the upside on Goodwin for a player drafted 29th in a historically weak draft is good value for a struggling Phoenix franchise.
