San Antonio made a typical Spurs move. Livio Jean-Charles was the pick at No.28 for Gregg Popovich and company.

From French Guiana, it is unlikely that Jean-Charles will come over to the United States to play in the NBA. This is what the Spurs do though, so we shouldn’t be surprised.

San Antonio has had success with international players. Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Boris Diaw, and Tiago Splitter were all big-time contributors during their run to the NBA finals before the Miami Heat ultimately became back-to-back champions.

While many may view this as a stretch, it’s hard to disagree with anything that the Spurs do.
