Stay Or Go: Nick Young

As much as I love the name, “Swaggy P” and how much swagger Nick Young has, I do not think the Sixers should re-sign him; it’s just too risky.

Last season, Young averaged 10.6 PPG, 1.4 APG, and 2.2 RPG. He shot 41 % from the field, 36 % behind the 3-point line, and 82 % from the free throw line. Swaggy P is just too inconsistent. At some points in the game, he would turn into a gunner or just go ice cold, unable to make a basket.

His personality hurts the Sixers because he is the type of player who at some times cannot get focused and become determined. Yes, I know his hair is cool, his name is cool, and he can make unbelievable off-balance shots, but I believe that there are other better shooting options out in the market and that re-signing Young would just be too much of a risk.

The Sixers need a shooter who is efficient and an extremely hard worker, and hopefully they sign players that will help turn this team from mediocre into contenders.
