The key to the future is here and Sixers’ fans should be more excited than ever. No more Andrew Bynum. No more waiting for a big man. No more waiting for a centerpiece. The time has finally come. We have a dominant big man, and a centerpiece, who will lead this team to a bright future. We’ve finally got what we’ve been waiting for. Nerlens Noel.
For years, the Sixers have lacked a dominant and reliable big man, and Noel is now their man. Although we have yet to see Noel play in the NBA just yet, he has proven to us at Kentucky that he has what it takes to be one. Last season with the Wildcats, Noel averaged 10.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 1.6 APG, but his specialty is defense. To put it in simpler terms, Noel is a blocking machine, who averaged 4.4 BLKPG last season. Noel has arguably the most talent and upside in his draft class and is just 19 years old. He has so much potential and a ton more years to grow, develop, and improve. Two main concerns are his weight and his recent injury, but those two problems are already solved. Noel knows he must put on some pounds, and is already working on it, and he does not have Andrew Bynum’s injury problems.
The future is here Sixers’ fans, and it’s going to be an exciting journey.
