Royce White To Play Tonight vs. Boston Celtics

Royce White, one of the most intriguing players here in Philadelphia, is set to play tonight against the Boston Celtics, making his Philadelphia 76ers debut. The Sixers will face off against the Celtics tonight at 7 PM ET at the Bob Carpenter Center.

After Thursday’s practice, Sixers head coach Brett Brown said,

“I look forward to playing Royce tomorrow.”

White said,

“I want to be able to show that I can play, be able to get with my teammates for the first time where we can play together and not against each other. I haven’t been on Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young or Spencer’s Hawes team since back in the summer when we were playing open gym, so it will be good to set a screen for somebody instead of on him.”

Tonight’s preseason match up should be a great chance for Royce to showcase his skills, and hopefully he can prove to the organization that he will be an important piece to the team’s future.
