Pregame: Sixers vs Bucks

I haven’t written a pregame in a while and man, it seems like all the excitement has died down for the Sixers. That’s probably a good thing, because I don’t want this team winning games against the Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors. However, the Sixers are home in Philadelphia tonight for a match up against the Bucks. The Bucks seem to be stuck in the position the Sixers were in for years, a middle of the road team. I’m sure the Wells Fargo Center will be rocking for this one.

Our Sixers find themselves on a season-worst four game losing streak (yay?). However, Milwaukee is winning the tanking battle right now with a 2-8 record so far on the season. I was about to tell you guys the projected starting lineup and I always look at the injury report from the media notes and something made me sad. KWAME BROWN IS NO LONGER ON THE INJURY REPORT WITH A RIGHT CALF STRAIN, BECAUSE HE ISN’T ON THIS TEAM ANYMORE. I’ve never been so sad about a completely worthless player (that collected 41 straight DNP-CD’s), being waived from this team. It’s a sad moment, but something we will all have to get over in Philadelphia.

The projected starting lineup for the Philadelphia 76ers:

  • PG Michael Carter-Williams
  • SG James Anderson
  • SF Evan Turner
  • PF Thaddeus Young
  • C Spencer Hawes

Hopefully Thaddeus Young can return to the team tonight and Michael Carter-Williams will have another game to get back into the groove.

The projected starting lineup for the Milwaukee Bucks:

  • PG Luke Ridnour
  • SG O.J. Mayo
  • SF Caron Butler
  • PF Ekpe Udoh
  • C Zaza Pachulia

Brandon Knight is doubtful for the Bucks with a sore right hamstring. Carlos Delfino and and Larry Sanders are both out.

I have a feeling this is going to be a very ugly and uneventful game. The Sixers have nothing to benefit from beating an already bad Bucks team. But, this is still Sixers basketball baby!

Will Michael Carter-Williams have a bounce back game tonight?
