The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Orlando Magic Wednesday night, in hopes of getting back on track, but ended up falling to 6-10 with a 105-94 loss.
The first quarter started off with a bang, as Michael Carter-Williams hit the three. From there, it was a highly contested battle, as both teams continued to exchange buckets. At the end of one, the Magic led 33-27. The Magic pulled away in the second quarter, taking control of the game, but the Sixers managed to cut the deficit to five by halftime. Throughout the second half, the Magic re-gained momentum, having control for the rest of the game, pulling away and winning 105-94.
Nikola Vucevic was absolutely unstoppable, finishing with 21 points on 10/13 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 16 boards, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks. Glen Davis, Arron Afflalo, Victor Oladipo, and Andrew Nicholson also all had great performances.
Thaddeus Young had an outstanding game, posting 26 points on 9/15 shooting from the field, along with 2 3-pointers and 8 rebounds. Michael Carter-Williams finished with 23 points, and Evan Turner had 17.
The Sixers will take on the New Orleans Pelicans Friday night, as Jrue Holiday makes his return to the Wells Fargo Center.
