The Delaware 87ers haven’t played since the 21st, but a lot has happened since then. By the way, the 87ers play the Springfield Armor tonight at 7:00 pm.
Per the 87ers website, the Sevens have claimed former Gonzaga guard Matthew Bouldin and former Guilford College (where?) center Ben Strong (I like the name, kid) from the D-League available player pool.
Most recently, Bouldin had been playing for the LA D-Fenders, averaging 6.2 points and 2.7 assists in 19.9 minutes per game. Strong was playing for the Iowa Energy, averaging 6.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game.
The 87ers also waived Dustin Salisbury in a corresponding roster move.
The 87ers will definitely be looking for help after Kendall Marshall was picked up by the Lakers. Lorenzo Brown was recently sent down to the 87ers and should be available to play tonight. I’m also looking for Aquille Carr to receive more minutes with the departure of Marshall. Carr is an electric player who will need minutes to grow on the court. If anything, giving Carr minutes will put more people in the seats.
