Elliot Williams Assigned To 87ers

A little while ago, it was released that Elliot Williams would be assigned to the 87ers. He’s played sparingly this season and hasn’t impressed when he has played. It’s not his fault, he’s just not NBA ready yet, as most of the players on the Sixers roster aren’t. I’m not sure if the Sixers plan to call Lorenzo Brown back up, who has been playing extremely well with the 87ers.

Phoenix Suns Interested In Thaddeus Young

After last night, the only thing that could make my day was a Thaddeus Young trade rumor and here we have one. In his last seven games, he’s putting up 26.4 points a night. He’s playing like an All-star, but the Sixers are winning too many games for my health. Per Liberty Ballers, the Phoenix Suns are interested in Thad Young.

Keep in mind, the Suns have four extra first-round picks between the 2014 and 2015 NBA Drafts. All the talk in the beginning of the season was about the Phoenix Suns tanking, but they appear to in win-now mode. The Suns are currently 20-12, which is good enough for seventh in the Western Conference and third in the East, oh god.

What could the Sixers get back from Phoenix for Thad?

Well, it would definitely include one (hopefully two) first-rounders between 2014 and 2015. If it’s two first-rounders, I’m guessing it would be one split between each year. The Suns acquiring Thad would make the Morris twins available, which makes sense. The Morris twins are from Philly and who wouldn’t love to play in their hometown?

Emeka Okafor has an expiring contract, which is also a possibility.

Don’t forget former Kentucky standout, Archie Goodwin either. The Sixers were very high on him in the draft last year and even attempted to trade Evan Turner to get back into the first-round to select Goodwin. I wouldn’t be surprised if he landed up in Philadelphia, with a combination of one of the Morris twins and possibly a pick.

Regardless, any trade that goes down with Phoenix is guaranteed to be a great one. They have good players and a ton of picks, plus we have Sam Hinkie on our side. You know he’s going to get the best deal possible. I would love to see Archie Goodwin and first-rounder come our way for Thaddeus Young, but we must trust in Hinkie everyone.

Yeah, I’m not sure why you are saying I’m asking for all of that. No where in this article do I ask for Goodwin, a twin, AND both picks. The most likely scenario is one of the picks, PLUS one of the players. Not all combined.

Tucker most likely be the one.
