Per Jeff Goodman of ESPN, Nerlens Noel has been cleared for “basketball-activities” by Dr. James Andrews and could be ready to take the court shortly after the All-Star break.
Dr. James Andrews had the following to say about Nerlens Noel:
“He is doing excellent and the team is taking good care of him,” Andrews told ESPN.com on Wednesday.
“He tested really well and his knee looks great,” one source said. “Dr. Andrews suggested he be cleared to do on-court drills, but the team still has to clear him.”
This leaves the Sixers in a tough position. Barring any set-backs, Noel could be ready to play shortly after the All-Star break. Sitting at 12-25 currently, the Sixers are in no way entitled to a pick in the top-three with how bad the Eastern Conference has been this season.
It’s important to remember that even though Nerlens Noel has been cleared by doctors, the Sixers still need to clear him also.
