Sixers get demolished by Hawks, 125-99

Well, that was embarrassing.

The Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Atlanta Hawks Friday night inside the Wells Fargo Center and got completely demolished, 125-99. The Hawks had control right from the tip, and continued to build on their lead. The Sixers continued to turn the ball over 19 times and struggled defensively once again.

For the Hawks, Elton Brand finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds, and Mike Scott finished with 18 points and grabbed 9 boards.

For the Sixers, Thaddeus Young had another monster game, scoring 29 points on 11/19 shooting from the field and 3/6 from the 3-point line. He also had 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Michael Carter-Williams finished with 17 points and 5 assists. Elliot Williams scored 15.

The Sixers shot just 36.8 % from the field, compared to Atlanta’s 50.6 %.

The Hawks improve to 24-21, while the Sixers fall to 15-32.

Next up, the Sixers will face the Detroit Pistons Saturday night at 7:30 PM ET.
