2014 All-Star weekend begins Friday in New Orleans, and Michael Carter-Williams is ready. Carter-Williams won’t just be participating in one event, but two. On Friday, the rookie point guard will be participating in the Rising Stars Challenge, and then the Skills Competition on Saturday.

“It’s a big honor. I’m thankful for it. I’m glad I get to represent the city of Philadelphia and my teammates and coaches. It means a lot to go, and I’m excited.

I never thought it would happen this quickly. I always dreamed of it happening, so I’m glad it’s here. I just have to take advantage of it.”
