Throwback Thursday: Nerlens Noel 12 Blocks vs Ole Miss

With all the recent hype and drama surrounding the debut of Nerlens Noel, I decided to feature him on this edition of “Throwback Thursday”. Mainly, because I want everyone to imagine this happening in a Sixers uniform, THIS SEASON! Just imagine those untamed arms flying above the shot of Carmelo Anthony or Kevin Durant as the ball escalates to the empty front-row of fans at the Wells Fargo Center and Nerlens just breezes a cool smile to the crowd. If things like that start happening, that front-row won’t be empty for long.

Nerlens Noel could turn out to be someone that never develops any offensive game — fine by me. If he protects the rim like this and the Sixers surround him with a Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins along with Michael Carter-Williams, just IMAGINE the possibilities. Remember the main reason the Dallas Mavericks won the 2010-2011 NBA Finals? That would be Tyson Chandler, who was the premium of rim protectors at that stage of his career. Imagine if Nerlens Noel can be that sort of contributor, at a minimum, in a few years. The possibilities are endless for this team if this thing works out like it’s supposed too. Trust in Sam Hinkie.

Keep hope alive Philadelphia — Nerlens Noel is coming to a city near you!
