According to Keith Pompey of Philly.com, the Sixers have waived PG Eric Maynor and signed James Nunnally to a 10-day contract. Nunnally worked out for the Sixers earlier last week along with Darius Johnson-Odom, Scott Suggs and Kevin Murphy.
The Sixers are officially the gateway drug for D-League players to the NBA. While the losing is getting real old, it’s nice to be able to watch some unknown, but hungry, players fight for their NBA lives. It will be interesting to see how Brett Brown spreads out the minutes with DJO and Nunnally. The Sixers also have Jarvis Varnado on their roster, who was plucked from D-League purgatory this season.
Eric Maynor’s career as a Sixer was over before it really got to start. Shame, he could have been the next John Stockton, or something — or nothing. See ya, Maynor!
#Sixers waived PG Eric Maynor and signed James Nunnally to a 10-day contract. They acquired Maynor from Wizards on Feb. 20 in 3-team trade.
