Preview: Sixers vs Celtics; Nerlens Noel Will Not Play

The oldest rivalry in the NBA is renewed for its last time this season in Boston. The two teams will meet again in Philadelphia for the Sixers last home game of the season. This is the huge “4-4-14″ game. Not to anyone’s surprise, Nerlens Noel will not be in uniform.

Let’s get to it.

– The Celtics are in 10th place and have already been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

– Boston is also seven games ahead of the 76ers in the standings so Philly has locked up last place in the Division with six games to play

– Jeff Green is Boston in scoring 16.6 points per game. Rajon Rondo is leading them in Assists with a 9.3 average per game. He is also scoring at a 11.6 clip per game.

– Celtics are 6-21 in games Rondo has played in this year. He missed the early part of the season with injury. He is averaging above his career average in every major statical category this season. Might have something to do with being the only player left. Thaddeus Young knows that life.

-76ers have won one game since the 2014 Olympics. Still two games ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks for last place in the NBA, inexplicably.

Tip off with be at 7:30pm on CSN Philly and 97.5 The Fanatic.
