If you haven’t heard by now…have you been under a rock? Donald Sterling has set the world ablaze with his insanely ignorant and racist comments, which have taken the glory off an otherwise spectacular start to the 2014 NBA Playoffs. Players, owners and celebrities from every angle of the world have been voicing their opinion on Sterling, mostly negative of course (check out Snoop Dog’s Vine page). With this being said, Sixers owner Josh Harris also chimed in on the madness (via NJ.com):

“Without question, discrimination in any form is unacceptable and has no place in the National Basketball Association or anywhere else in society. The comments were hurtful and outrageous, and in no way reflect the values and beliefs of myself, our ownership group or the Philadelphia 76ers organization.

I am confident that Commissioner Silver will undertake a thorough and thoughtful investigation into the matter.”

NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, is expected to announce what the NBA plans to do with Sterling later today.

The NBA certainly has no room for any comments like the ones Sterling made and we can only pray that he is out of the NBA as soon as possible. Teams currently in the playoff race have been supporting the Clippers decision to wear black and turn their warm-ups inside out, to show displeasure with Sterling’s comments. The Miami Heat wore their warm-ups inside out last night and both the Mavericks and Spurs sported black socks. The league and all of it’s inhabitants is coming crashing down on Sterling, will he break from the pressure? The worst thing about all of this, is that, if Sterling sells the team he will wind up making millions of dollars from it. It’s almost like getting paid to be a racist, sad but true.
