Philadelphia 76ers Michael Carter-Williams Headlines All-Rookie Team

Michael Carter-Williams has been named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Along with Carter-Williams, the First Team included: Victor Oladipo (Orlando), Trey Burke (Utah), Mason Plumlee (Brooklyn) and Tim Hardaway J.R. (New York). Carter-Williams was the only unanimous selection.

Michael Carter-Williams was named the Rookie of the Year earlier this month so this doesn’t come as much of a shock. What may be more shocking is the fact that he was the only unanimously named. I thought that Victor Oladipo could be the only other player named to it unanimously.

Hollis Thompson was “snubbed” from both the first team and the second team. I think Hollis Thompson had a very good case for this past year to make one of the teams. Don’t worry though, Hollis will be back next year with a vengeance and will destroy all. Hollis Thompson did receive five second-team votes, however.
