Doug McDermott is the one prospect in the NBA Draft that no one quite knows what the hell to expect from when he gets his feet wet in the NBA. Douggie McBuckets is one hell of a shooter — he averaged 26.7 points on a 53/45/86 split this season — but how does that translate into the NBA?

Well, shooters shoot; that’s always been my philosophy. No matter what happens over the course of his career, McDermott will always have the ability to space the floor and be a threat on the perimeter. Hence the reason why I still have an obsession with Jimmer Fredette.

Courtesy of is the following video which profiles McDermott against some future NBA length wings and post players. He shows some of the great, good and the bad. Seeing him work in the post, especially against someone like Isaiah Austin from Baylor, was some of my favorite stuff from the video.

Enough from me, I’ll let the video do the talking.
