Throwback Thursday: Allen Iverson's 48 Points in NBA Finals

Nothing like a blast to the past. With Allen Iverson turning 39 on Saturday, it’s only right we further celebrate his career with a “Throwback Thursday” segment. Today, we bring you classic footage from The Answer’s 48-point performance vs the Lakers in the 2001 NBA Finals. With the NBA Finals going on, how could we not bring up one of the best single game playoff performances in 76ers history?

This is a lengthy video, because, well, 48-points is quite a lot of buckets. As we patiently wait for the 76ers to return to basketball relevancy, at least we can still hold onto memories from The Answer when he was in his prime. There was nothing quite like Allen Iverson in the 2001 NBA Finals, only if he had more help. Regardless, this is still classic footage.
