Andrew Wiggins: “I think I’ll be a star wherever I go.”

Andrew Wiggins doesn’t have the ability to be a killer. Andrew Wiggins is passive. This and that about Andrew Wiggins.

These are the types of things that have been discussed about Wiggins in a negative light. Because judging killer instinct is possible from a 19 year old kid with a year removed from high school. Contrary to popular belief, Andrew Wiggins has the ability to be a star in this league and he believes the same.

An unidentified NBA scout had the following to say about Andrew Wiggins:

“He’s an elite athlete and a great on-ball defender,” said the scout. “I think he will be a very good shooter in the NBA. I have questions about his ball-handling and his ability to get past defenders in our league in the halfcourt. I’m also not sold on his basketball IQ. He does some of the same moves a lot of the time and didn’t make the right reads against defenses. The other major concern I have is whether he has a killer instinct and whether he can be a star.”

When Wiggins was asked to respond to the scout’s comments, he replied:

“I think I’ll be a star wherever I go. That’s just how confident I am in my ability.”

Stop hating on the kid. Wiggins to Philly 2014.
