According to a report from Philly.com, the 76ers will be hosting Indiana freshman Noah Vonleh on Thursday for a workout. The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 11.3 points and 9.0 boards for Indiana in 26.5 minutes per game. He’s expected to inflate those numbers in larger minutes when he comes to the NBA. For a big man, Vonleh can hit the trey ball, shooting it at a 49 percent clip last season.
The talented freshman won’t be the 76ers choice at No. 3 and won’t be available at No. 10, so why work him out? Well, with Sam Hinkie in the war room, no one really knows where the 76ers will end up drafting until the draft is over. At just 18 years old, Vonleh is incredibly raw but possesses elite athleticism at his size.
The 76ers appear ready to start rolling in some of the top prospects for workouts after the Andrew Wiggins hoopla from earlier this week. The 2014 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 26th.
